Job Description

As a 'Project Manager,' your main responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive project management framework and methodology aligned with the company's strategic goals.
  • Project Portfolio Management: Oversee the entire project portfolio, including prioritization, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Team Leadership: Build, develop, and lead a high-performing project management team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Methodology and Standards: Ensure adherence to industry best practices, such as PMI's PMBOK Guide, and establish standardized project management processes and templates.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports on project performance, key metrics, and overall portfolio health to senior management.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans to minimize potential impacts.
  • Change Management: Effectively manage changes to project scope, schedule, or budget, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and external vendors.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, preferably in the mining industry or heavy industry.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
