Job Description

As a General Manager Manufacturing, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing all manufacturing operations and ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the department.
  • Managing and improving the manufacturing process to ensure product quality and productivity.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Identifying and managing resources needed to reach the company's manufacturing goals.
  • Ensuring all health and safety guidelines are followed strictly.
  • Training and mentoring staff to promote career development and improve team performance.
  • Collaborating with other department managers to create budgets and forecasts.

The Successful Applicant

A successful General Manager Manufacturing should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or similar role in the FMCG industry.
  • Exceptional leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and production processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate manufacturing processes are in place.
  • Exceptional understanding of health and safety regulations.
